J-Team Compy 300 Micro Heli

Yes! Finally someone makes a micro heli with a belt drive tail that works properly and doesn't cost a fortune! As of this date (Jan 07) there are no US distributors for the Compy 300, but that's OK... most of its parts are compatible with the CP2 or T-Rex!

I fitted my Compy with a LightFlightRC ARC 20-34-130 motor and 8T pinion gear. This is powered by my Castle Creations Phoenix 25 speed controller and a 3 cell ThunderPower 1320 pack. For the video below, my gear mesh was set too loose so the gear whine is pretty loud. I have since re-meshed and it is much quieter!

Being a cross between the CP2 (head) and T-Rex (tail) the resulting beast flies just as you'd expect: Great manners like the CP2, but power and wicked fast tail response like the T-Rex. I think J-Team has a real winner here, and can't wait to see what neat upgrades they offer. As I get more flight time with it there will be more flying content here.
